Activity Report for March 2018

Activity Report for March 2018

March is typically a good month and 2018 is no exception. Even though it wasn’t as high in commissions as other years, March still experienced a gain. Sales occurred from 3 of my websites, and not from the usual one!

Income

My only source of income was Amazon again. I added some other affiliate promotions, but no sales -just sign-ups. And March’s earning commission percentage average dropped from last month.

Across the board I had more individual sales, bringing my total earned commission to nearly $50. And my top website didn’t have any sales. March is now my second best earning month for the year. Yet missed it’s set monthly sales goal by 92%.

Expenses

Finally, March was an inexpensive month!

I only paid for a domain renewal in March. And I received a credit refund from last month’s software expense.

Of course I had my typical monthly expense to my Internet service provider.

Overall, expenses for March ended up totaling only $2.13, which was much lower than February’s expenses.

Bottom Line

With lower expenses and higher sales, I netted a GAIN for March. Even though it is not earth shattering, it still $48. The only issue for March is it was far from the revenue goal! Whenever this happens, it just means I’ll have to do even better for the coming month.

Tracking Stats

Google analytics was more consistent for most of my sites in March, but still seems not to be working for a few other sites. One site was just added toward the end of the month and showed no visitors on Google.

However, the accumulated overall web traffic report results from Google showed a significant increase of 44%. And 3 of my active sites are still not being indexed. Web traffic dynamics will change once these sites are added.

Other Issues

This is the third month in a row, where blog posts and product reviews increased.  It was a 65% increase over last month. Yet it is still below my set goal of 52 posts and reviews.

Some progress was made with an optin form along with the email service. I plan to have this completely resolve in April. Also I am working on redesigning each site along with changing the information structure. This process is taking much longer for me to do than anticipated.
