About Michel (Mike) Snook
Hello, I’m Michel (Mike) Snook, and I’m the founder of Glowball Web Network.
I’m based in Massillon, Ohio, where I run my home office. On a personal note, I’m a widower, having lost my beloved wife of 34 years in 2016. I’m a Christian, a father of two adult children and a “papa” to two awesome grandsons.
My professional life has been driven by an overpowering curiosity, which led me to earn three college degrees and to create over a few dozen niche websites over the years. My online journey began in 2008 when I leaped headfirst into the world of digital marketing.
The Hard-Won Lessons of an Online Entrepreneur
Like many aspiring entrepreneurs, I spent my first few years navigating a landscape full of overwhelming jargon and enticing “business-in-a-box” promises. I learned firsthand what it’s like to invest significant time and money – thousands of dollars – into “guru” programs and “done-for-you” systems that ultimately fell far short of their promises.
I’ve built sites, followed step-by-step video instructions, and patiently waited for the “avalanche of sales” only to be met with silence. I’ve spent years (from 2008-2020) testing strategies, promoting PLR and Clickbank products, and focusing on Amazon affiliate marketing, often working 6-day weeks with mixed results.
Turning Experience into Expertise
Those challenging years were not failures; they were my classrooms. They taught me, without question, what doesn’t work.
Through that daunting but valuable process, I gained critical, hands-on expertise.
- I became highly proficient with WordPress, SEO and building sites.
- I learned the practical realities of niche and affiliate marketing.
- Most importantly, I learned how to distinguish genuine, sustainable strategies from the hype.
I have been drained, but I have never given up. My journey has taught me resilience and provided me with a clear understanding of the pitfalls that trap so many new entrepreneurs. I am also a lifelong learner.
My Focus Today
Now, I am focused on developing and implementing the strategies that work. My goal is to build a regular, consistent income based on the hard-won lessons I’ve learned.
Life is a journey to a destination; without one, it becomes meaningless. I am focused on enjoying that journey as I pursue my goals, and I welcome you to follow along with me.
