Activity Report for January 2016

Activity report for January 2016.

-2

It was a slow start for the new year. There were a few sales made and enough, when compared to expenses for the month, to make a gain (profit) for the month of January.

The only expense I had for January was that I bought 2 domain names. I converted several of my sights from non-registered sub-domains to registered domains. The logic behind this is to see if these sites will rank better to increase traffic and eventually sales.

Another change that I made for the new year is that I calculated performance parameters for each one of my active websites. If that site doesn’t at least break even for it’s parameter by the end of the year, IT’S HISTORY! Why waste time with a dead end.

I’ve also redesigned a few of my websites in January and added some more products to promote. The only problem with those sites is that they are seasonal and the season is still a few months out. Instead, I should be investing my time on those sites that produce interest all year around. Because of this, I only published two (2) posts for January.

Overall web traffic to my sites increased as a collective whole by 31.5% and my bounce rate has dropped which are both good factors. However, neither factor added to sales or significant sign-ups for any of my sites. I did get 2 visitors to sign-up to the Affiliate Marketing eCourse and one for the free software sign-up offer. But then again, I also had 7 people unsubscribe from the TSA mailing list.

What is even worse, I keep writing articles and emails of all sorts – but haven’t published or sent any of them! I’m still not even actively promoting anything other than what is already on my sites. Hard to make a living that way!

And I am still working on converting several raw product possibilities into viable and salable products. I also realized the amount of work behind it including payment gateways and securely delivering the product without getting it stolen from hackers and cheats. I should have gotten at least one product finished and released for sale, but seem to be a few weeks away from that goal.
