Activity Report for January 2015

Hello-February-updateWanting to keep with my online business transparency, sorry I’m late with my activity report for January 2015 to share with you.

Weather and finances were the two biggest factors I had to deal with for the month. I started out a whole year behind on recording both business and family finances. So my main focus was to utilized part of my time everyday to work on entering financial data along with keeping my driveway and walkways cleared (thank, God, for the snow blower).

I was optimistic starting into the new year with a solidly laid-out plan for most of my websites. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to most of what I had planned on doing for the month other than just to maintain each site, along with continuing to write article posts for some of those sites.

No ads were run, social networking was held to a minimum, and it was a real struggle keeping up with article writing and product reviews.

It was a tough month not making any sales on any of my sites, even though I had an increase with click-throughs with my affiliate links on most of them. It seems the more I pay attention to my web analytics, the worse I seem to do (what does that mean?).

Also experienced a whopping 38.16% increase with site visitors across the board. Unfortunately, I also had a big increase with the number of hackers to my sites trying to force their way in. This accounted for part of my visitor numbers, so obviously, they were not there to check out my articles or reviews, just to bust in on my site (unsuccessfully, that is).

The loss for the month was due to a complete niche package and WordPress theme that I bought. I plan on implementing the package in the coming months – most likely by adding another niche site. The other purchase made was a newly released theme I will be utilizing in the near future with another niche site I have in the wings to be released in the near future.

No further development during January with the product ideas I had mentioned in December. However, still plan to keep on scheduled – releasing my first product by the end of the first quarter of 2015. My goal is to become more integrated as a hybrid affiliate that I wrote about on my other site.

I still have been neglecting (ouch!) my email list of subscribers on my flagship site. This is one important area where I am failing and need a kick in the pants to become laser-focused and active with.
